Cheeky Fingers - Piano Chord Dictionary, Progressions and Suggestions App Reviews

I have a masters in music composition and used a program I created to practice my harmonic vocabulary regularly to not stay rusty! I was extremely skeptical that this app could actually do all it was offering. I am giving five stars because it did everything it said and it did it in a very musical and natural way. Also bravo to whoever wrote the app software for not robbing the musicality for functionality! Again, as I continue to teach music I will be sending my students to this app and using it as a teaching tool for further classes! Damned impressive! Ps. Made me stop having to open my massive logic files to practice! Lol thanks!

Fantastic use of technology as a learning utility and practicing aid.

I inevitably use this app every time I play music, even if its not the piano. I do wish progressions I store had a "default key" I could specify because I forget what key the song is in sometimes and have to guess. But other than that, this app is perfect!

The attention to detail in regard to design is great, the dictionary could include chords like C9, add 11 and so on. Right now it looks like it only supports up to 7ths (which is great!) even cooler would be chord configurations like C/E but thats really just a nice to have.

While the UI is the best looking of its kind, there are quite a few features that have yet to be added. Youre able to save your own cord progressions, however you are not able to save the full range of cords. Something that makes little sense to me. Also, once you save the progression you cant go back and edit it. There is no reverse chord look up, however it appears they are working on it. Until these issues get fixed, this is only a $.99 app. There are free apps with the same functionality, only less aesthetically pleasing.

I love the app. The interface is beautifully design and the UI is super easy to use. My only issue is that it doesnt have more complex chords (anything past 7ths). Im trying to learn complex jazz chordings like F13 or Dm9 and this cant get me there.
